മഞ്ഞൾ - വിഷഹാരം, അരുചിയെ ശമിപ്പിക്കും

ശക്തമായ വിഷഹരമായ ഔഷധമാണ് മഞ്ഞൾ . നാം കറികളിൽ മഞ്ഞൾ ചേർക്കാറുണ്ടല്ലോ ? അതു നിറം ലഭിക്കാൻ മാത്രമല്ല. ആഹാരത്തിലടങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്ന ചെറുതും വലുതുമായ വിഷാംശങ്ങൾ നശിപ്പിക്കുവാനാണ്.
മഞ്ഞൾ ചെടിയുടെ മണ്ണിനടിയിലുള്ള കിഴങ്ങാണ് ഔഷധയോഗ്യം .
മഞ്ഞൾ പൊടി നെല്ലിക്കാ നീരിൽ ചേർത്തു സേവിക്കുന്നത് പ്രമേഹ ത്തിനു ഔഷധമാണ്.
ചതവും നീരും മാറാൻ മഞ്ഞൾ ചെറുനാരങ്ങാ നീര് ചേർത്തരച്ചു അല്പം ഇടുപ്പും ചേർത്തു ചൂടാക്കി പുറമേ പുരട്ടാം.
പച്ചമഞ്ഞൾ വേപ്പെണ്ണയിൽ അരച്ചു പുരട്ടുന്നത് കുഴിനഖത്തിനു ചികിത്സയാണു.
മഞ്ഞൾ, ചെറുപയർ, തെറ്റിപ്പൂവ് ഇവ ഉണക്കി പൊടിച്ചു തേച്ചു കുളിക്കാം, സൗന്ദര്യ വർധകമാണിത്. മുഖക്കുരു ചുണങ് ഇവ മാറ്റും.
പീനസം, മൂക്കിൽ പഴുപ്പ്, കഫം, മൂക്കടപ്പ് തുടങ്ങിയവയ്ക്കു പച്ചമഞ്ഞൾ അരച്ചു തുണിയിൽ പുരട്ടി ഉണക്കി തിരിയാക്കി വേപ്പെണ്ണയിൽ മുക്കി കത്തിച്ചു ആ പുക മൂക്കിലൂടെ വലിക്കുന്നത് വളരെ ഫലപ്രദമാണ്.

Ocimum tenuiflorum, also known as Ocimum sanctum, holy basil, or tulasi or tulsi (also sometimes spelled thulasi), is an aromatic plant in the family Lamiaceae which is native to the Indian subcontinent and widespread as a cultivated plant throughout the Southeast Asian tropics. It is an erect, many-branched subshrub, 30–60 cm (12–24 in) tall with hairy stems and simple phyllotaxic green or purple leaves that are strongly scented.

സുപരിചിതവും വീട്ടുവളപ്പുകളിലും ക്ഷേത്ര പരിസരത്തും ധാരാളമായി കാണുന്ന കുറ്റിച്ചെടി . പൂജാപുഷ്പമായി ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന പാവനമായ ചെടിയാണ് തുളസി.
കറുത്ത തുളസി (കൃഷ്ണ തുളസി) എന്നും വെളുത്ത തുളസി (രാമ തുളസി) എന്നും രണ്ടു തരത്തിലുണ്ട്. കൃഷ്ണ തുളസിക്കാന് ഔഷധ ഗുണം കൂടുതലുള്ളത്. തുളസിയിലയുടെ നീര് ഔഷധമായി കഴിക്കാം .

ഉദരക്രുമിയെ നശിപ്പിക്കും
രുചി വര്ധിപ്പിക്കും
തേൾ , ചിലന്തി, പഴുതാര, കകടന്നൽ, തുടങ്ങിയവയുടെ വിഷത്തിനെതിരെ ഉത്തമം
തുളസി നീരും ഉപ്പും ചേർത്ത് കഴിച്ചാൽ ദഹന ശക്തി വര്ധിക്കും.
വിഷജന്തുക്കൾ കടിച്ചാൽ, തുളസിയും മഞ്ഞളും കൂടി അരച്ച് മുറിവിൽ പുരട്ടാം.
മുടിയിൽ ചൂടുന്നത് പേൻ നശിപ്പിക്കും, തലയണക്കരികിൽ ഇലകൾ വിതറാം.
തുളസി നീരും കല്ക്കണ്ടവും ചേർത്ത് സേവിക്കുന്നത് ജലദോഷതിനും പനിക്കും ഫലപ്രദമാണ്.

ആഴ്ചയിൽ ഒന്നോ രണ്ടോ ഔഷധ സസ്യങ്ങളെ വീതം പരിചയപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു.

Sri P.R. Krishnakumar, son of the illustrious Rama Variar, is the head of the AVP group of institutions. Having widely traveled in India and abroad and possessing a vision as broad as his father, he has dedicated his life to the promotion of Indian science, art and culture and in particular Ayurveda. Well versed in Ayurveda, Indian architecture, astrology, philosophy and other allied subjects, Sri Krishnakumar is on the advisory board of several government and non governmental organisations involved in the propagation of Ayurveda. He was instrumental in bringing Ayurveda to the attention of the World Health Organisation (WHO).
